The latch of innovative music

I’ve decided to make a comment on this video, not only because of the singer who, coincidentally, is the same one who sings in the first video I made a comment about, but because I’m really into all electronic music genres.

This genre in particular, which is a mix of different types of House music, was introduced to me thanks to different bands and artists such as Kaskade and Bob Sinclair. Disclosure is also known for the use of some post-dubstep, just like the very well known commercial band, The xx.

How did I get to this song? Since I’m a huge fan of European festivals, I was researching about a very interesting festival called Snowbombing. It’s a festival that, as its name says, is celebrated in the snow. I got so into it, I started watching videos and live performances until I got to Disclosure’s performance. The first song I listened to was Latch. Their music got to me in such a way, that today Latch is the most listened song in my computer.

Latch is an example of the innovative sounds this decade is showing us, like the mix of house and many other genres, which to me is impressive. Also, since they’re producers, they are creating music as DJs. Which means they basically are DJs. For me, just knowing they actually made that song on their own makes me love this “duo” even more. I’m a huge critic of these new pop singers who have the need of a whole producing team to make just one song. They have actually reached such a level of mediocrity, that they need to ask a DJ to produce a song, the same song they are proud of “making themselves”.

And that’s exactly what makes me love electronic music and every genre electronic has:  the level of technical and creative superiority producers have to create a song.

I’d like to finish this comment by calling this song a latch, the latch of innovative music only great producers can get to open.

Gallium: it melts in your hand but it attacks other metals

gallium-melting-metal

This might be one of the rarest elements on earth. Galium is a metal with an ultra low melting point of just 29.76 °C and the ability to attack most of the other metals by diffusing into their metal lattice greatly and weakening their structure.

In 1871, the existence of gallium was first predicted by Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev, who named it “eka-aluminium” on the basis of its position in the periodic table. He also predicted several properties of the element, which correspond closely to real gallium properties, such as density, melting point, oxide character and bonding in chloride.

Elemental gallium is not found in nature, but it is easily obtained by smelting. Very pure gallium metal has a brilliant silvery color and its solid metal fractures like glass. Gallium easily alloys with many metals, and is used in small quantities as a plutonium-gallium alloy in the plutonium cores of nuclear bombs, to help stabilize the plutonium crystal structure.

This is the coolest thing that I have seen in my whole life. It makes me feel like I’m Magneto, controlling the metal properties. I’m really shocked by it. You should really check it out.

The Butler

Cecil Gaines is waiting at the White house to meet the first colored president of United States, Barack Obama, something he couldn’t believe. That’s how The Butler starts. The movie is directed by Lee Daniels, written by Danny Strong, and featuring an amazing cast, including Oprah Winfrey as Gloria Gaines and Forest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines.

I liked this movie because it shows what African-Americans have been through. They couldn’t sit next to a white guy because the white people thought they had diseases and that they were less important. They saw them as just immigrants “in a white country”.

Cecil has a son who is part of the “rebels”, a group of black people who fought against racism in America. He was my favorite character because all his life he believed in a world with black and white people living in peace.

I completely recommend the movie, I learned a lot with it and I thought it was amazing. I leave you with the trailer, if you are interested in watching the movie, and an article about Barack Obama`s opinion.

Is there life in other planets?

universe

According to a new analysis by the NASA’s Kepler telescope “one in every five sun like stars are habitable” because they are really similar in size to the earth. Furthermore, other studies show that it is possible to find water in the surface of any rocky planet. In fact, there is an estimate that the nearest planet with water could be 12 light years away, but still it is a far distant. So, it cannot be studied or analyzed by scientists.

Scientists also found out that almost 22 percent of stars are like own (the earth). This information is helpful for future experiment and search for more. NASA’s telescope is not longer in use, but it worked for three years. On the other hand, many others scientists said that these studies are a step forward to find new life in other planets.

This telescope is a really good invention that can help scientists to find more evidence and new things that we can’t even imagine about other planets. Also, I think that even if there is life in other distant planets, it is almost impossible to do further studies because it is too far away and we will never actually know if there is any life.

Should we fear an environmental war?

21SINO-HARBIN01-blog480

With a nearby winter coming soon, the city of Harbin is going through a very big problem; they can’t see! With only 10 meters of visibility the citizens need to stay home because highways, airports and schools have been closed.

This city nearby the Russian frontier has reached the highest amount of air pollution and people starting to get sick. The local people describe this as a “heavy fog” that don’t let you see the person with which you are talking, “You can’t see your own fingers in front of you.”

This problem becomes even more difficult because many people start going to the hospitals with respiratory problems.

The environmental officers started to make inspections on farms, factory smokestacks and vehicle emissions to try to stop the air pollution. The government is waiting the local weather results; expecting if rain comes before winter to clean the air.

This problem is getting worst and the city of Harbin has become the center of attention.  An Internet user said “If you think this is the movie set for ‘Silent Hill,’ ‘Resident Evil’ or ‘The Walking Dead,’ you are wrong — this is Harbin.

How is possible that in one of the most important countries in the world with one of the highest amount of technology, could happen this kind of problem? In my opinion, China is getting sick of technology and business, and they’re letting the environment collapse and put many lives in danger. If the rest of the world were to assume China’s environmental point of view, we will have to fight in an environmental war.

The antenna doesn’t count

willis-tower-590x829

This article talks about the World Trade Center, which was ruled as the tallest building in the U.S.A. This has created a big polemic in Chicago, because the tallest building used to be the Willis Tower. People in Chicago say that the roof of the World Trade Center was 100 feet lower than the Chicago’s tower. It is only taller because of the antenna.

Also the people of Chicago are saying: “At the Willis Tower, you have a panoramic view that is unmatched. You can’t get a view like that from an antenna.” So what they’re saying is that the antenna is useless. On the other hand, the argument of the New York people is that the antenna gets better audio.

I think that the antenna does not have anything to do with the height of the building. Also, what the Chicagoans are saying about the view of the roof is a pretty strong argument. In conclusion, I think the Willis building is actually taller than the World Trade Center.

Spider sent into another dimension

So this video is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. It’s about this spider that falls on this guy2s computer, so he decides to use a YouTube video to send it into another dimension.

That’s actually really clever. I would not be the way I handle things when I see a spider. If I were that guy, I would just scream and throw my computer away to kill the spider.

But I have to say I actually feel bad for the spider. What if you were just walking around and then suddenly you are in a tunnel with a lot of colors and shapes?

Check out the full video in case you’re interested. I hope you enjoy it much as I did.

Good news for rape victims

akin

Todd Akin, the Republican senate nominee from Missouri, claimed at an interview in a St. Louis television station, that if a woman was legitimately raped “the female body had ways to try to shut the whole thing down”. And that if, by any case, they didn’t work, and the rape ended up in an unwanted pregnancy, the punishment should be for the rapist an not for the kid (referring to abortion).

In my opinión, this is totally crazy. I bet that if he is not pulling that absurd theory of the female body being able to “shut down” out of his ass, the doctors who support it were probably paid to say it. Just like in the 40s, when they used to affirm that cigarettes weren’t harmful to your health. Plus, in case the victim turns out to be pregnant, even if the rapist is punished, he isn’t going to help the victim with the baby or take care of the child. With this being said, after all, the punishment for the rapist doesn’t really solve the problem of the victim.

But, hey girls, the good news is that the next time a condom breaks, you just need to tell your reproductive system that it was a rape and it will shut the whole thing down. No reason to worry about an unwanted pregnancy.

Open arms

“Open arms” is a song made by the band Journey. Every time that I listen this song it reminds me of great moments of my life. The intention of the song is to connect with the audience, so that when they are listening to the song they can fall in love with the lyrics and understand the story behind the melody.

The lyrics of the song talk about a guy who’s going through a really hard time and feeling lonely because he’s not with the one he loves. We also understand that this guy is reunited with the woman he loves and opens his arms to give her all of his love. This song transmits a really nice message for those who are in love. I really recommend this song because it is relaxing and it helps you to remember the best moments of your life.

Don’t fight: celebrate

In the last month, a few people were killed just because they were on the street with the T-shirt of their football team. Apparently, they got into a fight with fans from another team and ended up dead.

I think that we don’t have to fight because of we’re from different teams. We have to live football in peace and be happy of the fact that Colombia is finally going to a World Cup after 15 years.

In this video they show how people in Colombia are scared of football fans who kill people just because of their T-shirt color. It also shows a good joke around a tragic subject.

Zlatan and Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo.Zlatan_crop_north

Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic are two of the best soccer players in the world. They are going to play for a spot in the FIFA World Cup and it is unbelievable that one of this players will miss Brazil next year.

Zlatan plays for Paris Saint Germaine and for Sweden, his country. Zlatan usually does amazing goals and he is the star of both of his teams and one of the best strikers in the world.

Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid and for Portugal, and although his country team has a lot of good players, they don’t play really good together. In less than a few weeks, we will see how to giants will fight each other for what it is just one spot in the most important soccer tournament.

Beyond doubt, both of them are incredible players. Ibrahimovic is, in my opinion, the best middle striker in the moment. But still, Cristiano is now living what I think is the best moment in his entire career. After all, I really believe that Ronaldo deserves to go to the World Cup.

Counting Stars

This song is interpreted by One Republic and it appears in their Album “Native”. One Republic is an American band, also known by songs like Secrets, Good Life, etc. The band is composed by Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins, Drew Brown Eddie Fisher, Brent Kutzle; their music genre is Pop Rock and it was formed in 2003. This song was a great international success and it’s even used in The Voice in USA.

Ryan Tedder, the composer of the song, said that before he was famous, he was struggling to get enough money. He also said that he expected to get to the point where he would be able to stop counting money and instead, start counting something else, like stars. That’s why the lyrics are so good, they are quite poetical, the same as the rhythm that makes you want to hear the song many times. I really recommend you to listen to this song and try to understand how the composer felt.

In order to launch the HD TNT channel in Belgium, they placed a button on a quiet square. Above the button, a sign that read “Push to add drama” helped the plot look even more startling. All they had to do was wait for someone to push it.

Cristiano Ronaldo to open a museum

1385069690_extras_noticia_foton_7_0

Cristiano Ronaldo Dosantos was born on February the 5th, 1985, in Santo António, Portugal. He is having his best season ever, both at club level and with his national team. In 2008, he won the Ballon d’Or and scored 67 goals in 56 games. Ronaldo also has won two Golden Boots, in 2008 and 2011. He is one of the favorites for the 2013 best player award. As a super star he will open a museum in which he will show all of his individual trophies like the Ballon d’Or and the Golden Boots. The museum will be located in Funchal, the capital of Madeira Islands.

In my opinion, the Cristiano Ronaldo museum should be located in Madrid, because Real Madrid FC is the team where he has played his best soccer. I also think that Cristiano deserves to win again the the Ballon d’Or because he is not only the most complete player in the world and the top sccorer in the LFP Aand the Champions League, but a wonderful person who helps many poor people year by year.

A perfect team

This video is so great, because it shows the supernatural intelligence of an animal, in this case the horse. He seems to be playing with the bull. It’s impressive how the rider and the horse make a perfect team.

This isn’t as easy as it seems. You have to be very well prepared to do it because you are putting in risk the life of the horse and yours. The training with the horse takes place every day, because this is something which can’t be learned in two days.

In my opinion you need to trust in your capacity and in the horse’s. This is like a soccer match, you work as a team. If you are nervous, it will be dangerous because animals can feel what you feel. I love how the horse and the rider seem so peaceful together, while a really angry bull is trying to kill them.

Possessed doll

The Annabelle doll is probably one of the most famous paranormal cases in the world. The doll was kept in secret for years by Ed and Loraine Warren, the married couple which is maybe one of the most recognized paranormal & demonology investigators in the world. The Annabelle doll is maybe one of their most terrifying stories.

The Annabelle doll was a gift from a mother to her nurse daughter who kept the doll on her room. The doll started to move and appear in different positions which scared the nurse. To clear up doubts she called a medium who told her that she had a little girl spirit which was asking for permission to live inside the doll, and they made their worst mistake: they conceded it. A couple of weeks later the doll started to have some aggressive behavior so the nurse panicked and called Ed and Loraine. It turns out it wasn’t a little girl spirit but a demon who was living in the doll.

I found this topic very interesting because it’s being very popular these days. I believe a lot that this exists and as Ed Warren said “Diabolical forces are formidable. These forces are eternal, and they exist today. The fairy tale is true. The devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.”

Just one worry

1588

Alan Watts was born in January 1915 and died in November in 1973. He was a philosopher, writer and public speaker. He talks about what, in my opinion, is one of the toughest decisions that we are forced to make in life.

If the purpose of life is being happy, what would you prefer? Earning money and doing something that you hate for the rest of your life? But then, you wouldn’t be doing something that fulfils you.

The other choice is doing something that you love for the rest of your life, but what pays the bills while you live the fantasy? Is it a lack of sense of reality? I don’t think so: I agree with Alan Watts. As he said, if you really like what you are doing, you can eventually master it. And then, you will be able to get a good fee for whatever it is. So don’t worry too much.

Anyways, there is one thing that does worry me: the fact that we’re living in a world that is often pushing us towards the wrong decision.

I recommend you listen to the audio while you read it. It is very touching.

Military technology in Colombia

ejcembaejec

Juan Carlos Pinzon, the defense minister of Colombia, is trying to copy the Israeli system with the purpose of developing military technology in the country. He also said that Colombia has a good military technology but the economy and the situation of the country isn’t the best for the use of our resources in this area. Colombia is helped by the USA with a lot of military equipment since 1996, in the called “Plan Colombia” for the fight against the FARC (Fuerzas armadas revolucionarias de Colombia) that are one of the best equipped guerrillas in the world.

I think that it is very good for the country because our soldiers are one of the best in the world. They are almost every day in the jungle fighting against the illegal groups. If they are equipped with excellent weapons, they will protect us better and it would be more comfortable for them. They will have new weapons that maybe are not as heavy as the ones they have today. The soldiers could have more accuracy, and if they are already good with the old weapons, just imagine what they can do with modern ones.

Dishonest win

270473_heroa

This article talks about the BBVA Lof Spain. Real Madrid, in the previous round of the League, caused controversy since the match was influenced by the referee in favor of the white club. The merengue club made a poor match and Elche, their rival team, with much worse players than the Real Madrid players, played a great match. Elche actually tied the match in the 87 minute after the poor march of the merengue Club. The best player was Cristiano Ronaldo since he made the first goal and the second, which was the goal that generated more controversy. Carlos Sanchez, Elche player, was sure that it was not a penalty but Pepe, from Real Madrid, said that he really was a victim of the foul which produced the penalty.

I’m big fan of Real Madrid but my opinion as a fan is that the club made a poor match and they won the match with help from the referee. Pepe is a great player but he exaggerates in all the matches, and in this one especially made a horror movie because the non-existent foul of Carlos Sanchez. I think that a great player like Pepe doesn’t have to do these things, even if his team is losing the match by 100 goals. He has to act with respect and more when he is playing for an important institution. I was happy because my team won, but it was an incomplete satisfaction because as a fan I know that my team won the match without being honest. It is embarrassing to win like that and more playing against a bad team and you being at the top of the soccer world.

Greatest guitar riffs in history

This video was made by the music enterprise Chicago Music Exchange and presented by one of the main channel’s guitar players. In 12 minutes, he passes through the greatest guitar riffs in the Rock n’ Roll history; from riffs interpreted by Johnny Cash, passing through epic bands such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and ending with The Raconteurs and others who made riffs worth noting in the main history of Rock.

For myself, watching the main riffs that marked generations is exciting. I consider myself a rock lover and know very well most of the songs that are shown in the video; you can see how generations change and how chords are used and the style, speed and complexity of the riffs from the 50’s to the late 90’s. Personally, the best riffs and the ones that are more enjoyable are the ones created by 80’s Hair Metal Bands that controlled the USA during their time.

Hope you like the video and find it as interesting as I did.

This video shows a spectacular late afternoon, with the immensity of the sea and its big waves, and the contrast with a big city. The construction of infrastructure, big buildings, avenues and bridges where one can observe the traffic.

The video reflects on how men change nature when constructing buildings, routes and bridges. It makes me think about how we’re taking care of the Earth.

The song does not have a lot of lyrics, but the music is calm and it makes me feel so inspired. I really recommend you this video; it’ll take you 3 minutes to watch it.

Unfairly shot

This article is about two men in a small town at the south of England who were practicing “parkour”, a new sport which consists in jumping from building to building, staircases, and other urban architecture items in order to move through and among them as fluent as possible.

£££Freerunners-shot-2683538

These two men were climbing a scaffolding next to a building which was under construction, in order to jump from this building to another. When they were doing this one of the workers working in the construction saw them and thought they were thiefs trying to rob the building, which is a shop. The man’s reaction was to get his riffle and shoot them thinking they were going to steal something.

When the two men heard the shots, they asked the worker to stop shooting, but he continued with the certainty they were thieves.

The worker was arrested and taken to court where the judge said his attitude was irresponsible and he should have called the police instead of shooting. The man was given a custodial sentence.

I think this happens in Colombia every day. Here there is a lot violence and the people want to protect their things. The problem is that most of the time, people climbing walls and getting on the roofs of houses are really criminals, robbers who can kill people to get what they want, and many times the people who just want to defend their belonging are sent to jail unfairly.

Island of garbage

Floating-debris-MAIN-2678181

There is a very big island of garbage that is floating on the ocean and is approaching the state of California in the United States. This island of garbage is the result of the tsunami of 2011 in Japan, which devastated several towns and cities. After the tsunami, the water took away houses, cars, boats, and many other things which are now going to the surface of the ocean, and moving with the waves to other places of the world, like California.

Scientist and citizens are worried about the effects this can have in the environment of the west cast in U.S. but there is not much they can do by now until the island of garbage gets to the coast.

Scientists say this island is bigger than Britain and that it weights thousands of tons.

I think this can affect very seriously the North American country. They’re already very polluted with its own garbage and now they are going to get garbage from another continent. However, in this particular case it’s not their fault.

Tears in Heaven

“Tears In Heaven” is  a song composed by Eric Clapton in 1992, when his 4 years old son Conor died in an accident, falling from a 53th floor of a high building in Manhattan. This song won 3 Grammys in 1993 and was also a soundtrack of the movie “Rush”.

Through this song Eric Clapton express his feelings about the death of his son. I think the song helped him to recover from the pain, and also to console him.

The song talks about hope, recovering, being strong and carry on with life. This great composer finds a way to use the circumstances in his life to write songs, even if the circumstances are painful.

X- Men: Days Of The Future Past

The movie is a fiction movie, directed by Brian Singer. It will be shown on the 23th of May, 2014. The argument of the movie develops in events or facts of the future and past of the generation of mutants that will be captured in concentration camps, and most of the X-Men will be killed. The X-Men get together to fight for the survival of the mutants in two different times. They join their powers to the ones of “X-Men First Generation” in a battle that will change the past to save the future. They have to travel to the past and go to a specific event in 1973 to avoid and stop that catastrophe.

In my opinion this movie could be excellent, because it’s an action movie and also fiction movie. It has many special effects with a wonderful realism in its characterization. The director plays with the time frames and this will be an important factor to grasp the attention of the audience.

We want what we can’t have

Ben Haggerty, was born on June 19, (1983), in Seattle, Washington. He is a Hip-Hop rapper, known by his stage name Macklemore. Since 2000, he has independently released one mix tape, three EPs and two albums and significantly collaborated with producer Ryan Lewis. He has owned so many awards. His most sold album is The Heist, released on October 9, 2012. He is gay, and he expressed it in the single ¨Same Love¨.

In this song, he says a lot with few words. With this song he’s not just trying to tell to us about his life, he also is trying to make us see the truth behind the life you are living in this society. He also is trying to make us notice that some things are a dream.

What I think about the song is that it’s all true, everything he says is true. Society makes us want things, believe in things, do things. Like when the lyrics say “we want what we can´t have, community makes us want it”.

I love the whole video and song, but the part that I like most is the ending. After trying and doing everything for 100 dollars to buy a pair of shoes, the character finally gets them and brings them to school. He then sees that it´s just another pair of shoes.

Lebron James

He was born in Akron, Ohio on December 30, 1984 . He made a team with a friend of his neighborhood, which was the best of the nation.

LeBron was always the leader of the team; he was the heart of it. Some time passed and LeBron and the team grew. When LeBron was only 19 years old, he signed a contract with Nike for 90 million dollars and he started playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron played in this team for 7 years.

In 2007 the Cavaliers went to the final of this tournament for the first time. He made something that no one had done before, but the Cavaliers lost this final against the San Antonio Spurs.

In the next 2 years, LeBron stole the heart of the fans of Cleveland Cavaliers. He scored many points in his career, and his average was of 28 points per game during the 7 years he was in this team. But in the year 2010 he finished the contract with the Cavaliers and went to the Miami Heat.

He has achieved many different things in this team, like getting to the finals in 2007 and winning two championships. I think he is a really good player and the Cavaliers will never forget him.

Anti-Nazi propaganda app

hitler-big-lie

“It’s like Shazam, just with more Hitler” –The Daily Dot

One of the problems of the German police is the neo-Nazi propaganda, especially the songs. That’s why all the German legislators are meeting this week to discuss about an app, Shazam, with the purpuse to identify neo-Nazi songs.

This is a clever idea which is going to provide help to the German police. It is really handy and easy to use. But more importantly, it will stop most of the neo-Nazi propaganda, helping the development of a better country.
However, this app might violate laws against audio surveillance. German police and legislators have to think about it before developing it.

Video games are not the problem

violent-video-game

The debate on the prohibition of violent games for minors has caused many discussions.

Though the ERSB system of qualification for games is good, it has not stopped the purchases of this type of games for children.

When in 2003, Gentile and Anderson made this study, their conclution was that all type of violent games cause in one way or another aggressive actions and reactions on young people under 18 years old.

One American doctor assures that this kind of games can distort the way children act and confuses them since the games reward players while doing incorrect acts.

In my opinion, children’s behavior is not only their responsibility, it is also an adults matter. Parents are children’s guide and example, and if they don’t pay attention to the small details, their children can always walk the wrong way. If adults teach children the right way, they can play any kind of game without taking dangerous risks.

How (not) to survive a Zombie Apocalypse

zombie

This article is a very interesting and fun. The article explains the best way to stay alive in a fictitious scenario, as the zombie apocalypse. It also talks about the quickest way to die in it. Obviously this kind of situation is impossible, but the zombie apocalypse is a very interesting topic and is gaining a lot of fame in TV and in films. This made people write books about it and is also inspiring people to read those books.

The zombies became famous in the last decade, but they have been on movies since 1930. The first movie in which a zombie appeared was “White Zombie”. And in all the movies, they always have the same tactics to survive. This article explains why these are the wrong tactics and why at the end of every movie of this genre, people die.

Se7en

Se7en is a thriller genre and black film about the 7 deadly sins. This story is based on a decadent, sad city, where it rains most of the time. The homicide detective William. R. (Morgan Freeman), is about to retire as a partner is assigned a young detective David Mills (Brad Pit).

The story turns around a serial murderer who seems to be choosing his victims according to the seven deadly sins of the Catholic Church: gluttony, sloth, lust, greed, pride, envy and wrath.

The movie is very good because the plot tumbles and the heroes of the story turn out to be something else. I would grade it a score of 90 out of 100.

Arjen Robben scores a goal in a final

In this video they show how one of the best players of the world scores a goal in the UEFA Champions League final. The goal was in the 89th minute of the match, giving him the championship.

Robben used to be a player who didn’t score in any final he play in. For example, the World Cup final with Netherlands against Spain, or the UCL final of 2012…

Finally he did score in a final. Not only that, but he gave the title to his team, Bayern Munich.

Justin Bieber misbehaving

In this video we can see that the artist Justin Bieber gets caught with a woman in his tour to Brazil. In the scene Justin is sleeping in his bed when this woman starts violating his privacy by videotaping him and uploading the video to the internet some hours later.

I think that this artist has the right to his privacy and has all the right to be upset with this video.

Now, I think a lot of fans will be disappointed of Justin for this and other behaviors he has had in the last days in America, like the graffiti he painted  in Bogota. There even is a rumor that says that he slept with a prostitute in Colombia, but who knows?

We can make the world stop

These amazing recordings by the people who are sponsored by Gopro show us things that the athletes see while practicing these extreme sports. These are views that can only be seen with your own eyes during these activities. But they record these amazing shots to inspire other people to practice extreme sports and, of course, to buy the camera.

The music is made by The Glitch Mob, and I think it’s the best song there could be for these videos; it’s perfect. The song is inspirational and goes great with the slow motion fragments of the video. It is called “We can make the world stop”, and Gopro uses it in a lot of their videos. Also, a lot of other people have included it in their own videos.

Amazing goal against Germany

This goal was scored in 1990 in the group phase of Italy’s World Cup. This was the first time Colombia went to an event of this sort. It was important because we needed a tie to qualify but in the last minute, Germany scored a goal. With this result Colombia would not pass. But then, Freddie Rincon scored and Colombia did qualify!

I find this video is really amazing. First, because I am a very big fan of soccer so when I watch this video I feel very excited and happy. I think that this goal can get excited any person from Colombia and of course, anyone who likes soccer. Second, this video could be the symbol of soccer and even the representation of sports in Colombia, because the match seemed to be lost, but it turned around in the final minute.

Electronic Entertainment Expo in LA

microsoft-xbox-one-e3-2013,M-X-388329-13

The next year’s E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo), will take place in the LA Convention Center, in Los Angeles, as the one this year. The reason why the Expo will be held in the same city is because it was a complete success, gathering 48,200 game industry professionals, analysts, journalists and retailers from 102 countries, and generating nearly $40 million dollars for the city. The next E3 will be between June 10 and 12.

In my opinion, it will be interesting and exciting to see which games they will release in next year’s second semester and 2015’s first semester. It will be a great time for Nintendo, who will be releasing lots of games in that period of time, but also for the other franchises because of their new consoles’ releases.

The Conjuring

This movie was very good, not only because of the way they tell the story but because the director has a real view of what Lorraine wants. This is based on a real life story. Lorraine is a strong girl who’s capable of talking to “another world” and fighting to save her family. At the beginning of the story, the cop didn’t believe there was a curse until the end, when he realized that it wasn’t “the air” that had scratched him… However if you don’t know enough about the topic, about how bad this is, that it is real and that you could get hurt, or panic, watching the movie could be a dangerous experience.

For example: a boy sees the movie; after, he gets interested in demons so he goes to play with a ouija board. He starts playing, he meets zozo (One of the most “powerful” demons) and then, gets hurt and goes crying to tell his mom. I don’t want to make a big discussion about you believing or not in demons and ghosts. However, I did this because I like the topic and because I do believe in them.

Double backflip by Travis Pastrana

On this video you can see Travis Pastrana doing a double backflip. Travis did the double backflip in 2006 in the X games tournament. He had never won a gold medal before.

He set two records: he won his first medal in the X games competition. He also did a trick that nobody had done before. This trick was thought for bicycles, but Travis worked a lot on this trick and he did it.

In my opinion, this guy is an idol for the freestyle drivers and for everybody because he did a trick that nobody had ever done before. With this, he teaches us a lesson: you can do anything you want, everything is possible.
